Jim Martens, 79, of Winona died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at Sauer Memorial Home, Winona. DeLoy James "Jim" was born March 2, 1932, in Mountain Lake, Minn., to Frank and Agnes (Toews) Martens. He graduated from Mountain Lake High School, Mountain Lake, in 1950, obtained his bachelor's of science degree from Mankato State University, Mankato, Minn., in 1954 and his master's degree in 1965 from Mankato State University. Arizona City Business Center located about one block from its former location.Hundreds of local residents attended the grand opening of Jamestown Wild West Town last Saturday.Lance Burden of Eloy was one of the finalists from Arizona on “American Idol.” Burden sang for the judges at the Dodge Theater in Phoenix.The Arizona City Library received five new computers from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.Third lane proposal for I-10 between Marana and Jimmie Kerr Boulevard, but nothing definite about expanding I-10 north of Casa Grande.Upgrades and improvements continue at Arizona City Golf Course, with new control panels for the irrigation system on the front nine, over seeding and the interior of the Club House will get a fresh coat of paint.Brothers Lance, Brent and Christopher Andrade are ready to be deployed to Kuwait.
