Lauren Marie Rogers and her husband, Jason, of Greater Detroit, Mich., David St. John Washburn of Sacramento, Calif., Gregory Mark Washburn of Brooklyn, N.Y., Elise Irene Washburn of Flagstaff, Ariz., Sara Hatfield and her husband, Nathan, of Warren and Anne Washburn Lloyd and her husband, Andrew, of Columbia, Mo.; six great-grandchildren, Alexander, Catherine and Natalie Rogers, Kathrine and Josiah Hatfield, and Judah Lloyd; five sisters, Metella Woodworth, Bertha Fitzgerald, Jane Grant and her husband, Herbert, all of Dover-Foxcroft, Mabel Parkman of Ballston Spa, N.Y., and Carolyn Olson and her husband, Oscar, of Pittsfield, Mass.; one brother, Richard Washburn of Gig Harbor, Wash.; as well as many nieces and nephews. Bob’s last months were made comfortable by the exceptional care provided by the compassionate staff of The Courtyard at Quarry Hill. Bob’s family extends heartfelt gratitude to these caring folks for a job “well-done.” A graveside service will be held Friday, Nov. 4 at noon at the South Hero, Vt., Cemetery. The Rev. Kent Washburn will officiate. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov. 6 at 3 p.m. at Lake View Presbyterian Church, 188 Rockland St. (Route 17) in Rockport. The Rev. Stephen Tracy will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lakeview Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 188 Rockland St., Rockport, ME 04856; or the First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Joel DiBartolo, jazz bassist played in top bands

He was director of jazz studies and associate professor of double bass. In 1997, he wrote the highly regarded technique book “Serious Electric Bass.” He also was bassist for the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, where his wife, Mary, is cellist. He was inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 2001. In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Adriana and Cristina; two brothers, Russell and Henry; and two sisters, Joanna and Rosanne Bushnell. A musical tribute was given Oct. 9 in Kerr Cultural Center, Scottsdale. A second musical tribute is planned Nov. 15 in Ardrey Memorial Auditorium at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Margaret Kirk (August 15, 1919 - August 21, 2011) was born to Swedish immigrants who homesteaded on Garland Prairie near Williams, AZ. Margaret and most of her nine siblings were born in Flagstaff. A quiet woman with great perseverance, Margaret delighted in animals, nature and family. Her life's work included raising three children in a logging camp at Happy Jack, AZ (and cooking for the loggers), helping raise one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
