Survivors include three stepsons, Alan Sankpill of Stillwell, Kan., and Conrad Sankpill of Homestead, Fla. and Rich Inlow of Groveland, Calif; one daughter, Harriette Culbertson of Bull Shoals, Ark.; one step daughter, Judy Billings of Lawrence, Kan.; three nephews, William E. Stafford of Laddonia, Al Neiger of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Richard Fowler of Bowling Green; four nieces, Helen Neiger of Columbia, Shirley Beck of Arlington, Va.., Sharon McCarthy of Chesterfield and Leola Waller of Verona, Ky.He was preceded in death by one son, James Lee Fowler; two brothers, James Fowler and Elzea Lee Fowler; three sisters, Mae Stafford, Fern Neiger, and Viola Crismon; and two nephews, Bill Fowler and Fred Crismon.Mr. Fowler was  1932 graduate of Vandalia High School. He moved from Missouri to California in 1937 and worked in food product sales until 1945 when he was drafted. He served in the U.S. Army during 1945 and 1946 during  W.W.II.He served both in the U.S. and Germany during  the Occupation. He returned to the states and continued in food sa...
