La Crosse, Sarah (Joel) Christensen of La Crescent, Keith Bolduan of La Crosse, Matthew Bolduan of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Andy (Stephanie) Miller of Fond du Lac, Wis., and Jordan Miller and Dylan and Colton Tydrich, all of La Crosse; his 14 great-grandchildren, Bailey, Taylor, Kiara, Kailey, Lucas, Brody, Collin, Braden, Trevor, Ashley, Emerson, Jonah, Bella, and Claire, and one on the way in early 2012; his sibblings, Dolores Schmidt of Rushford, Minn., Verna (Gorden) Gerdes of Ridgeway, Minn., and Marcile Kuecker, Alice (Donald) Diersen, and Burton (Joyce) Bolduan, all of Caledonia; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Roland was preceded in death by his brother, Frank in infancy; one grandson, Brian Bolduan; one granddaughter, Erin Bolduan; one great-granddaughter, Lola Bolduan; two brothers-in-law, Melvin Schmidt and Mervin Kuecker; and a brother and sister-in-law, Almon and Lyn Roth. Roland was a person of deep, quiet faith, a very caring husband and father, always offering advice and direction up until the very end of his life. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 650 N. Kingston St., Caledonia. The Rev. Tom Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and also on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
